Paul Rebmann will present a program "Early Florida Explorers" at the Florida Native Plant Society
Pawpaw Chapter meeting Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Ormond Beach.
This will be a look at what some of our early Florida naturalists and botanists found when they explored Florida.
Some of these discoveries, especially the plants, are even named after these people.
This presentation was inspired by the FNPS Magnolia Chapter 2011 calendar "Notes from the Field -
Early Botanical Explorers of Florida and the Southeastern U.S.". That calendar featured Paul Rebmann's
photo of Curtiss' Milkweed as the main image for July to honor Allen Hiram Curtiss.
Grace Lutheran Church is at 338 Ocean Shore Blvd., Ormond Beach, Florida.
This is beachside at A1A and Neptune Ave., the first traffic light north of Granada on A1A.
